I was noticing that a lot of instagrammers were talking about how this past weekend was the last weekend of summer. I thought wait a minute! Summer doesn’t end until the middle of September give or take. Well, after doing some research, there’s a difference between meteorological summer and astronomical summer. Meteorological summer ends August 31st and astronomical autumn equinox starts around September 22.
So which one do we follow and why?
I don’t know about you, but I always go by what it says on the calendar; which tends to be closer to the astronomical date. However, most people go by meteorological seasons because it’s more accurate to the season. To me, it doesn’t really matter since I live in Texas where it’s always hot!
What do you all think? Which season do you go by?
